On July 29, 2019, Minister Smith announced steps Ontario is taking to provide continuity of service while providing the necessary time to design a new needs-based autism program by April 2020. Click here for more information on the program redesign.
On February 6, 2019, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services announced changes to the Ontario Autism Program. The new program provides funding directly to families through a childhood budget. Please click here to learn more about the new program on the ministry website.
Bethesda has been in the Niagara community for over 80 years providing a range of services and supports to children, youth and adults who have special needs. We will continue to offer quality services under a new fee for service model.
Bethesda will:
- Offer free service coordination support to families
- Provide Family Centred Services delivered by experienced staff who are supervised by Board Certified Behavioural Analysts (BCBA).
- Offer a range of individual and group services and supports for children and youth between the ages of 2-18.
- Work with families to develop customized plans to meet the individual needs of children and their families.

If you are already registered with the Ontario Autism Program at Bethesda, we will share information with you as it becomes available through the ministry. We will support you in the process to access your childhood budget.
